If you prefer adults only cruises, you’ll love sailing in the Caribbean!
Adults only cruises (For this article, I must exclude the apostrophe)
Adults only cruises are a good opportunity to experience a child free vacation. Below I have provided two good links for some adult only cruises coming up in 2012 and 2013 that I am sure you will enjoy.
However before you go on to those, let me just tell you a bit about these adult only cruises. One major problem is many cruise liners do not exclude children from their cruises.
To make up for this, cruise lines offer adult only areas onboard where no children are allowed. These may include specialty restaurants, bars, latenight adult themed venues etc. etc.
In recent times, there has been a steady increase in the demand for adult cruises which have caused major cruise liners to start paying attention to this select passenger group.
Today, more cruise lines are now catering specifically to adult cruises via certain ships within their fleets.
One such cruise liner is the luxury liner P&O cruises operating out of the UK. From its fleet of seven ships, P&O has delegated three ships exclusively for adults!
These include Arcadia, Adonia and Oriana. You won’t find any crying babies or shouting toddlers aboard these elegantly designed ships; where all the facilities onboard are adult themed, including personalized butler service.
P&O cruises sail to may worldwide destinations including Africa, the Mediterranean, North America and the Caribbean.
The truth is, despite their high demand adults only cruises are not always easy to find based on the general criteria.
You have to look specifically to luxury cruise liners for a totally adult cruising experience.
Reason being is that most families’ will either not want to pay or is simply not able to afford the extra cruise fare on a luxury vessel. Additionally, a luxury cruise ship will offer less facilities designed for children, making families less likely to cruise with them.
Another consideration to bear in mind when searching for adult cruises is time of year. Try to avoid the sailing in the holidays, choose instead exam periods when there is a far less likelihood for kids to be sailing at that time.
These cruise liners closer to home offer several opportunities for adult cruises in the Caribbean.
Celebrity : The luxury ships featured by Celebrity cruise line are primarily adult oriented; specifically designed to offer the ultimate in adult romantic getaways. The best ships on which to book an adults only cruise are the Silhouette, Equinox and Solstice.
Norwegian:Norwegian’s secluded courtyard villas set high above all other accommodations are ideal for offering privacy and seclusion aboard, away from noisy children. These luxurious courtyard villas are available on Norwegian’s Epic and Jewel class ships.
Paul Gauguin: Based in Tahiti, this cruise line does not currently sail to the Caribbean but offer cruises in Tahiti and other South Pacific destinations.
